:::Chelsea + Matt:::

Chelsea and Matt are big fans of the 80's. They had an awesome candy bar with all the candies from the 80's, like Nerds, Pop Rocks, Pixie Sticks etc....as you can see in this Super 8 reel, it was a huge hit with their guests! They even had the bridal party dance to the song Footloose! What a fun day!

:::Appreciation:::

Wedding season can be tiresome for us wedding professionals, but we make it thru with each others support. Along with that, it always makes the world of difference when you get a letter of appreciation from a past client. I was so elated when Josh came home with a nice Thank You card from Melissa & Chris. They were married at the beautiful Four Season Biltmore in Montecito. Check out what they said in the second photo. {Photos provided by the amazing Jose Villa!}

:::katie + jonah :::

Katie & Jonah are such a cool couple that have an amazing taste in music....hence the reason they chose Josh as their DJ. It was great being present at their wedding to capture the day on Super 8mm and video. As you can see from this little highlight clip, it was a beautiful day and such a perfect sunset. Congratulations you two!!

:::Mom & Sisters day:::

One of my best friends Ashley wanted to make a little video as a gift to her mother and asked me the honor of doing so. We had a fun time going to the beach to get some great footage. As you can see from the video I really didn't need to direct this group...they are such the entertainers. I was laughing the whole time behind the camera watching them interact with each other. What a fun day!

:::Composting anyone?:::

Ok, I know this has nothing to do with weddings, but back in April I posted about "Thinking Green" and thought this ties in very well. So with that in mind Josh & I are about to attempt composting our "kitchen waste".

I have been watching Planet Green a lot lately and thought I'd take the jump and give it a try. We've been doing well recycling and taking our own shopping bags with us when we shop & changed all our light bulbs to CFL's a year ago....I hope this goes well too!

Some of our great friends gave us their compost called the "Worm Factory". I haven't ordered my worms just yet, cause I wanted to do my homework and read up on it first so that we start out doing it right. Stay tuned for updates in a few months!

:::margaret + neil:::

Margaret & Neil are the most fun people to be around! It was such a blast capturing their day on Super 8mm film. As you can see from the footage Neil is such a crack up and always has Margaret laughing. Awesomely CUTE!!! And did I mention she is a gorgeous bride!

They had the largest wedding I've ever seen held at San Ysidro Ranch. I think it was about 125 guests...not large on average, but for that location, it was a snug fit for the dancing down in Coleman Cottage.

I'd like to thank Susan Dean for recommending me to them, and thanks to Jill LaFleur for such a great job coordinating this fun group. What a memorable wedding!

P.S. Below is a picture Susan sent me that her Assistant shooter for the day, Bryan McLain shot of us in action!

:::Good-Bye Toby:::

Ok, so I am a HUGE fan of The Office and of course the season finale was last night....after a long writers strike I was a tad bummed, but had a good laugh watching it. You can watch the whole episode on hulu.com. If your an Office addict like me, please post a comment so I know there are others out there :)

:::Dream Dinners:::

For those of you who haven't heard of Dream Dinners, you will be surprised at how amazing this program is! I've been doing it for the last 2 months and absolutely LOVE IT!!! It is especially perfect for full time working wives or mothers like myself. Instead of stressing each day of "what to make for dinner", it's already been planned for the whole month....and the extra bonus is that it has saved us a lot of money from eating out! With wedding season now upon us, it really is a lifesaver for me. They even have a "Couple's Night" if you'd like to go with your spouse or friend. dreamdinners.com.

:::a day at the park:::

What a fun day spending with this bunch! I am so proud to be related to them! From paddle ball to piggy back rides, it was such a blast! I can't wait till we can do another shoot together!! I am so happy we live in the same town...love you all!!! :)
