:::On a sad note:::
I got a call from a past client a few weeks ago. I did her wedding about 2 1/2 years ago. She had asked if she could get the raw footage of her wedding. So I told her "no problem" and asked why now? She said that her mother was tragically killed in a car accident while on vacation and wanted to look thru the footage so she could hear her voice again. All choked up, I told her I send it out as soon as I possibly could. So while I got the footage together I decided to put this montage of clips I found of her mother together from the day of the wedding and emailed it to her. She emailed back this:
"Gina,
Thank you so much. The short montage is beautiful and I am so grateful to have some video footage of my mother. While I do have photos of my mother, I find videos can capture something that pictures cannot. "
WOW! I take that as a compliment cause her photographer was none other than Joe Bussink himself!
It's terribly sad to lose someone you love. I cannot image what it's like not having experienced it myself, but I am trying to take more video of my family these days, in case I do lose someone close in a tragedy someday. And of course trying to stay in contact a lot better than just email...and letting all know that I love them!
